This year’s we are heading east to the historic “Steel City”--or for the pontists in our ranks the “City of Bridges”--Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh ranks ninth on the Brookings Institutions' most walkable downtown's in America. Notable attractions include the Carnegie Scienece Center, the Andy Warhol Museum, the National Aviary, and a slew of historic buildings, restaurants, and shops at the historic steel mill turned walking area, “Southside Works.” Within walking distance of the William Penn Hotel is the Cultural District of Pittsburgh. The district hosts many unique restaurants and cultural destinations including the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, the Carnegie Library, and Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts.

Enjoy an evening of fine dining in The Terrace Room, or sample a drink with colleagues at The Speakeasy or the Wigle Whiskey Tasting Room. There is plenty by way of breakfast and coffee as well, including a Starbucks and a Brueggers Bagels all located in the lobby.
