Registration is limited to 375 participants; early registration is highly recommended. Poster session and Participant Idea Exchange (PIE) proposals should be received by October 1, 2017, and the deadline for a Teaching Slam or Demo Demo proposal is September 15, 2017 to guarantee space in the program, although later submissions will be considered if poster and PIE space remain available. The conference program includes four morning workshops on the first day, three poster sessions, three participant idea exchanges, social hours, book and software displays, and 30 featured speakers, well-known for their excellence in teaching psychology. The conference registration fee is only $15 more than the registration fee for the January 2017 NITOP for registrations received through November 15, 2017 (regular participant, $570) and after November 15, 2017, the regular participant registration fee will be $620. Because the Association for Psychological Science provides financial support for the Institute, APS regular members may register for $540 ($590 after November 15) and APS student affiliates for $360 ($410 after November 15). Special rates are also available for retirees and graduate or undergraduate students. The fee includes admission to all conference sessions and events, buffet breakfasts and lunches, refreshments at coffee breaks and poster sessions, an evening reception, and two social hours. Plus more than 200 pages of handouts provided by invited speakers, which will be available online during and after the conference to registered participants. The room rate at the TradeWinds is $137/night through November 15, 2017.
