February 18–19, 2027 · Fully virtual · Keynote by David Yeager
Join your psychology peers for two days of practical, evidence-informed teaching ideas — from wherever you are, with no travel budget required.
Why Attend?
Teaching is harder than it used to be. Enrollment pressure, disengagement, burnout, and AI arriving faster than our syllabi can absorb it. Most of us are improvising.
STP's Virtual Conference on Teaching (VCT) is two days of tested teaching strategies. Every session is invited and curated around what psychology educators are actually struggling with this year. More than 470 educators registered in 2026. The keynote and recorded sessions are available on-demand, so schedule conflicts don't cost you the content. And we've kept it accessible: priced so departments can send everyone, free for STP members in non-high-income economies, and non-members receive a complimentary STP membership with registration.

"Mentor mindset in the teaching of psychology: Theory and practice"

Bring your hardest student-engagement questions. In this interactive session, David Yeager takes questions and puzzles submitted by the audience — how to motivate students to actually talk to one another, for example — and works through them live using the mentor mindset framework from his recent book, 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People: A Groundbreaking Approach to Leading the Next Generation—And Making Your Own Life Easier.
